skordas 1 eye type greece aliveEvangelos Skordas, candidate lecturer at the University of Patra, has created a revolutionary app, where users can use their smartphones or tablets to type by simply looking at their screen. The app tracks the eyes’ movement and types the desired characters.

Skordas is a PhD researcher in the Wire Communications Laboratory of the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department of the University of Patra.

This is an innovative way of using smartphones, giving the possibility of communication mainly to people suffering from ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis), LIS syndrome (Locked In Syndrome), tetraplegia, or in general those who are not in a position to move anything but their eyes.
